The Foto Colectania Foundation, one of Barcelona most respected organizations in the field of photography, asked me to curate the 7th edition of their research program, DONE. (In 2022 I had curated the 6th edition, too).

I decided to address the sudden mutations of the image ecosystem due to the rise of new models of vision and creation. In particular, the fast popularization of generative, automatic and anti-photographic representation systems, a.k.a. "AI".

It was (and still is) a delicate topic for the world of visual cultures and photography in particular, so I decided to assemble a simple, very diverse and deliberately loose-ended program, focused on exploring new hybrid methods of thought and intervention around the synthetic image and other semi-artificial landscapes.

It ran from November 2023 through April 2024 and included conversations, artist presentations, screenings, some simple performances (also including the audience), a battle of prompts, two long workshops, and a little book.
